Lady Libertas had the pleasure of interviewing Liz Carter for US Congress from Georgia District 4 on Monday.  Liz Carter is an amazing Conservative woman and candidate who will be a strong advocate for her district, Americans and the Constitution when she defeats Democratic Congressman Hank Johnson in November - and Lady Libertas has no doubt that Liz will retake that seat in the revolution to Take America Back in November 2010.

Lady Libertas was introduced to Liz via her Chief of Staff Cheryl Prater (@cprater & @applecrossmedia) and after hearing such wonderful things about Liz - Lady Libertas can confirm that they are all true.

Allow me to share some of our chat...

Liz Carter is your ordinary, every day Super Woman.  She comes to her campaign with 20 years of business experience, is married to the love of her life, is stepMom to two boys and has thrown her hat into the ring for Georgia District Four.  Liz is a student and lover of history and the daughter of a World War 2 veteran who was a B17 Bombardier.

Her decision to run for Congress came on the road traveling to the Smart Girl Politics Summit last September.  She explains that she and Cheryl were driving and the story was playing on the radio about Rep. Hank Johnson claiming people who disagreed with President Obama were going to be putting on "white hoods and white uniforms again and riding through the countryside".  Liz was so outraged, she turned to Cheryl and said: "That's it - I'm running".

Who said there was no benefit to Johnson's insane comment?  It was how Liz began her journey as a candidate.  She met Michelle Malkin at the Smart Girl Politics Summit and Cheryl introduced her for the first time as a Congressional candidate.  Word spread fairly quickly and she received a call from Fox News the day before Thanksgiving telling her that they were doing a story on how Sarah Palin has inspired more women to run for office and would Liz give them an interview.  A great start to the campaign and a bit of a surprise to some family members who called Liz when she appeared in the interview on Fox News' front page.  "It has been non-stop running since then!" Liz says.

Liz's focus has been on meeting the people of District 4 which includes parts of Dekalb, Rockdale and Gwinnett counties outside of Atlanta.

I am having the time of my life. I have never had so much fun just sitting down and talking to people.  There is so much to learn but I don't want my learning curve to include not knowing about my district.

We have had a problem in our district with corruption in the counties and with leaders.  There is no community outreadch except during campaign season.  Part of Gwinnett County did not even know who their Rep was or that they had one!  My biggest challenge to date has been reaching out to that sleeper population who have given up or have always voted Democrat.  I want to get them involved and informed and awake!

Due to frustration, District Four has become a swing district.  We need to stand up and take back this seat.  If we can just get out there and get people to the polls, we can win.

Liz's passion is infectious.  Her passion is not just for District Four in Georgia - it for the entire country and the Constitution and history.

Every seat counts.  People can't just think about their districts anymore.  My own little part is no longer good enough.  The dynamic has switched.  Lead me to my Constitution - it is no longer being upheld.

I love history and I don't understand why they are trying to rewrite history.  History is where we come from.  It is about knowledge and inspiration, not political correctness.  They have forgotten how we have gotten here.  I have never seen such foolishness from leaders.

It has been awful to feel we have no representation - no place at the table - no chance to say stop and let's do this right.  Our leaders have been busy show boating when they need to bring people together.

We do not need fundamental change.

We need empowerment.  Government's role is to create the infrastructure for success in the private sector.

In Liz's opinion, healthcare was a primary example of how the people are not being represented.  She disagrees strongly with the "tough, you are going to take it and like it" stance that has been taken.

Healthcare is Enron on a federal level.  They have reported false earnings and it is devastation created for millions.  This is the same Congress that went after Enron and now they are using the same tactics in legislation.

I read the House bill and I read the Senate bill.  I broke it down and we said to Hank Johnson - Don't do it - Don't vote for it.

You can't run a country down into the ground like they have done.  We're going to fix it.

As a small business owner, Liz understands what it takes to make small businesses successful.  Her frustration with the direction of Congress and the federal government was apparent on many of the issues.  She is one of new breed of candidates that carry common sense as their banner - the issues and problems are apparent to Liz and she is determined to get to DC and change how the goverment is handling some of the most pressing issues for Americans today.

We need to get rid of these attorneys that do not understand small business and corporate America.

Selling treasury bonds is not revenue.  Without revenue coming in, we are in trouble.

It is our kids and their children who will be indentured servants to whomever they have bankrupted us to.  The next generation shouldn't pay for us - That to me is immoral.  I say to people like Pelosi and Reid: We are destroying any kind of prosperity or opportunity for our kids.

As the daughter of a World War 2 veteran, Liz has a strong stance on the military and national security.  It is no surprise that her greatest influence from history is President Eisenhower.

President Eisenhower was, in my heart, the true leader on Civil Rights and ended segregation.  He was the inspiration for building a super highway in America and creating an infrastructure.  He was a free market and business guy.  He also warned us as he was leaving office about the dangers of prolonged military engagement.

As a cold war kid, Liz believes the threat is real from Russia and that Putin is not our ally.  She disagrees with lowering our nuclear stores at this time.  As well, Liz questions our global debt and the negative impact that it will have on funding our military in the years to come.  Liz also takes issue with how our  Veterans and military are treated.

They spend more time giving rights to terrorists than honoring our military.

We send our men and women to serve and then place restraints to play nice in the sandbox.  We penalize them for bringing in terrorists by taking the complaints of terrorists seriously and penalizing our boys for a bloody nose.

The problem is that our political leaders are the ones who declare war - not the military leaders.  Then we send in our military to clean up the mess created by our political leaders.

Obama asked the General what he needed and it should have been given.  Obama ran on getting our troops out of Iraq and now we are not only still there but new American troops are needed because Iraq's military is not trained well enough to BE a military force without our presence.

The Democratic leaders then want to quadruple question our military leaders on how they can effectively win.

Liz may be a student of history but she sees the future as well.  Her campaign recently unveiled their IPhone App at a Young Republicans meeting.  The IPhone App gives information on Liz’s campaign with updates on  news, events, photos, videos.  It also allows supporters to volunteer, contribute, and share information with their own friends and followers using Twitter and Facebook.  Liz plans on expanding to other smartphone platforms, all in an effort to use technology to create "true transparency" and reach out to the younger voting block.  She also has plans to maintain these platforms when she is in office to inform people about legislation and votes and to get feedback via polls and surveys.  When asked about her experience with the Young Republicans, Liz said:

It has been fabulous!  I have never felt so welcomed.  As we go into the General Election, they will be a force to be reckoned with.  They are an army Democrats cannot stop.

Lady Libertas could have spent several more hours happily chatting with Liz but she needed to get back to the business of taking back the seat of District Four.  Liz Carter for Congress is a force to be reckoned with as well.  Her intelligence, love of our country and common sense attitude are precisely what the people of America need right now in Congress.  Her only weakness?  Mint chocolate chip ice cream.  That is a weakness we can all live with, I am sure.

Liz Carter is looking ahead to the upcoming months.  The next two big issues in her opinion are Amnesty for illegal immigrants and the threat to Social Security.  Liz's closing words:

This is the year - 2010 is the year when we sweep the House.  It will be a clear message and a huge reprimand.

It felt like Christmas morning as I blearily peered at Fox and Friends this morning to see with absolute delight:  GREEN JOBS CZAR VAN JONES RESIGNS AMID CONTROVERSY.

Lady Libertas is absolutely tickled pink to see REAL Change We Can Believe In!

Van Jones was an avowed Communist, a Black Activist and a frightening Extremist who was a Presidential Appointment for the position of Green Jobs Czar.  It was with extreme concern that we reviewed Jones' resume which included his admission of his status as a Communist, Anarchist and Marxist and a member of STORM which was a radical activist group pushing a Marxist agenda.  More reports began to surface regarding Van Jones and we were treated with video snippets of him calling President George W Bush "a crackhead".  He also called Republicans "assholes" and took numerous contentious stances on other issues, one of which declared "We've never seen a Columbine with a black kid".

Thanks to the diligent research and dedication to truth by Glenn Beck and all of us Constitutional Watchdogs, the truth has been coming out about this dangerous man who has the President's ear.  He was co-founder of colorofchange.org which is the organization leading a boycott against Glenn Beck's Fox show in what appeared to be a retaliation from the White House against the dissenting voice of Glenn Beck who stated his opinion that Barack Obama is a racist.  After viewing many of these statements from Van Jones, I think that we can see who the racist really is.

Lady Libertas is SO glad to report that Truth has won the day.

In the past week, more outrageous statements and videos surfaced from Van Jones.  He signed a petition with other 9/11 Truthers indicating that he believed the Bush Administration had a hand in actually staging 9/11.  The White House continued to avoid taking a stance and the mainstream media completely ignored the entire scandal.  By last Friday, the opinion was that Van Jones would have to resign and would not be allowed to stay in the Obama Administration.

In the tradition of the Obama Administration and despite numerous videos of Van Jones making these statements and his signature being on the 9/11 petition, Van Jones has denied everything, asking us to disbelieve all of the evidence laid out before us - much of it from his own mouth.

"On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me," Jones said in his resignation statement. "They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide."

Jones said he has been "inundated with calls from across the political spectrum urging me to stay and fight."

But he said he cannot in good conscience ask his colleagues to spend time and energy defending or explaining his past.

Jones flatly said in an earlier statement that he did not agree with the petition's stand on the 9/11 attacks and that "it certainly does not reflect my views, now or ever."

It is a victory for us certainly but a victory in a skirmish - there are many more to go!  Obama has surrounded himself with many more radicals with views that range from bizarre to flatly Unconstitutional.  So, let this serve as notice...

We are coming for you NEXT. YOU MAY NOT HAVE OUR COUNTRY.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

These are the words that have stood for over 200 years in this country, born on the belief of our Founding Fathers that government was not the only body that had the right of Freedom of Speech but that it belongs to the People and is an integral part of our republic.  In 1801, Thomas Jefferson re-affirmed the principle when he stated: “If there be any among us who would wish to dissolve this Union or to change its republican form, let them stand undisturbed as monuments of the safety with which error of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it.”  Let us examine that last bit – “where reason is left free to combat it”.

Thomas Jefferson believed in the ability of the Republic to allow dissenting opinions and through reason (not censorship or regulation) stand undisturbed in the end.  Free Speech is essential to the influence of the people on government and not just in an election but whenever the People are so moved to express themselves regarding the actions of government or potential actions of government.  As Lady Libertas has stated before, we do not lose our rights simply because our preferred candidate loses an election.

The Supreme Court has been the bulwark in defending free speech and checking the Legislative Branch’s moves to over-regulate or censor said speech.  In Whitney v. California (1927), Justice Louis Brandeis wrote that “freedom to think as you will and to speak as you think are means indispensable to the discovery and spread of political truth.”  In the words of Justice Thurgood Marshall in the 1974 case Procunier v. Martinez, “The First Amendment serves not only the needs of the polity but also those of the human spirit — a spirit that demands self-expression.”

Debate, Consensus, Expression are the foundations of free speech.  We do not have a monarch that passes a decree to which we all must submit, as much as Barack Obama would like to see himself in that position.  We have an elected government “of the people, for the people, by the people” and that government is bound to adhere to our Constitution.  This does not mean that they get to adhere to the Constitution only when they agree or when the agreement serves their own purposes.

Currently, we have a Congress and administration that is pushing forward an agenda that many of us disagree with fundamentally.  We believe that this agenda will change the very fabric of our country and undermine our Constitutional rights.  We are gathering and organizing to participate in our government and express our concerns about legislation that is going to be voted on in a few weeks.   We are seeking answers from an administration that is placing Czars in positions of power over our lives with no accountability and transparency.  We are exercising our First Amendment rights.

It seems that almost daily, a new threat to our freedom and our Constitution is being exposed.  We have a President that is more enamored of the sound of his words than the content and we have been treated to broken promises, out of control spending and a Legislature that appears horrified that the American People have an opinion and are willing to defend it.

Whether you agree with my personal opinions or not, it is your duty as an American to inform yourself and participate in the process.  The process is not just on election day – the process is happening daily and is being funded by our taxes, our hard work.  These issues will affect us all and we must be aware of the impact and the far-reaching effects before it is too late.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant – so let’s ask a few questions:

• Healthcare will affect 1/7 of our economy – Do we, as Americans, want the federal government inserting themselves into our relationships with our healthcare professionals?  Do we expect our elected officials to read the legislation BEFORE they vote on it?  Should our elected officials be allowed to exempt themselves from the healthcare plan that they want to inflict on the American People?  Should our government be accountable to fix the glaring problems of the healthcare programs that they are currently administering before they criticize and irrevocably alter the private sector and our access to the private sector?  Those of us who oppose the government takeover of healthcare have been labeled mobsters, evil mongerererers, un-American, Nazi brown shirts, etc… and this is from our ELECTED OFFICIALS – why don’t they want to hear public opinion?  In case anyone has forgotten the outcry over the Bush administration, let me refresh your memory here in a post by Zomblog about the Bush protests.
• The Obama Administration has by best count approximately 50 “Czar” positions.  These Czars are influencing if not effecting policy on a daily basis.  Many of them have skipped Senate confirmations or any kind of process, having been appointed directly by Obama. Who are these people?  What do they stand for?  Who are they accountable to and who is paying for their budgets and staffs?  What are their limits? (Link to my most recently updated post on the Czars)
• Censorship is not American.  It is not supported in the Constitution and it is not a practice that represents the freedom that defines America.  The FCC has a new Chief Diversity Officer, Mark Lloyd, who has the apparent mission of shutting down radio communications for stations that he does not agree with – specifically, Conservative and Christian radio.  He has praised Rwandan and Venezuelan state run radios in bringing about social change (hmmm like censorship and state sponsored terrorism?).  This has raised the issue of the Fairness Doctrine which was quelled by Reagan and the courts in 1987.  Mark Lloyd has not been shy of revealing his agenda by any means: “We trace the rise and influence of Rush and other conservative radio hosts to relaxed ownership rules and other pro-big business regulation that destroyed localism…” – is this just shutting down the opposition?  Should Bush have employed the same means against Liberal talk radio? Lloyd also co-wrote “The Structural Imbalance of Political Talk Radio” in 2007 – uber-liberal Marxism at its best.
• How about Green Czar, Van Jones using the organization that he founded, colorofchange.org, to begin a campaign against Glenn Beck by targeting his sponsors & pressuring them to drop his show? I am not debating that Americans have the right to boycott Glenn Beck or his sponsors (they certainly do and can choose to NOT watch him as well) but I am debating whether the mandate should have come from the White House?  It seems like a blatant censorship attempt against an American talk show host who is asking uncomfortable but valid questions of our government.
• ACORN is an organization that receives enormous amounts of federal funding – $53 million dollars since 1994 (See Washington Examiner Report that includes spreadsheet of funds that ACORN has received) and is now under criminal indictment.  ACORN seems to have a lot of fingers in the Obama pie and despite charges of voter fraud in several states, they continue to be a go-to organization by Obama, including rumors that they will receive the contract for the 2010 census.
• An emergency ruling has been filed with the Secretary of State for New York that mandates flu vaccinations for all healthcare workers in the State of New York (both paid and unpaid) – any worker that does not comply will have their employment terminated.  Interestingly, the flu vaccine that is being mandated is the seasonal flu vaccine and not the H1N1.  This mandate is opposed by the majority of healthcare workers in New York for obvious reasons.  Workers in nursing homes are unaffected, because to require them to receive the vaccine would require legislation – so the “emergency” does not extend to the burden of proof required by legislation. • Proposed US Senate Bill S773 (See copy of the bill here at Open Congress) allows for the President to disconnect private computers from the Internet in times of emergency.  WHAT?  It also allows for “periodic mapping” of private networks by the federal government and anything that the President deems to be a threat to the “critical infrastructure information system” could be disconnected from the internet.  Seems like another sector that Obama is intent on taking over – here is the CNET story about the proposed bill.
• We need to list the whole fishy debacle here to include the snitch program, compilation of private citizen’s emails, spamming by Axelrod of Americans who are STILL wondering how the government got their email addresses and all of the implications of infringement upon free speech that the above would include.  That could be a few posts in and of itself.  Suffice to say that the whole fishy issue turned the fishy eye onto the Obama Administration and their practices.
• CIA Investigation by Attorney General, Eric Holder on enhanced interrogation techniques employed on TERRORISTS that led to preventing future terrorist attacks on Americans.  Eric Holder, apparently out of sync with Obama, has decided to pursue the CIA interrogators which, of course, will allow for him to pursue members of the Bush Administration as well.  And why?  Because they do not agree with the lawful practices of the previous administration and to voice their disagreement, Holder will lead a witch hunt which will lead to the breakdown of our Intelligence Services, undermine our Intelligent Services both internally and externally and damage our National Security, all at the very least.  Perhaps Holder should be pursuing real criminals like the Black Panthers or ACORN and I wonder why that is not a target for him?  This begins a dangerous precedent to allow current Administrations to go back and target policies that they did not agree with and criminalize them.  Officers that crossed the line were disciplined and, in some cases, prosecuted under the Bush Administration so what is the point now?   Will Pelosi be included in this sweep?  And will we lose one of our vital defenses against Terrorists as Holder deconstructs the CIA to carry out a political grudge?

Obama has asked us to judge him by the people that are surrounding him.  The cadre of Czars is composed of activists, radicals and self-admitted Communists and Socialists.  As well, we are being treated to how very Leftist Liberal many of our lawmakers are, as Rep. Diane Watson gushed over the weekend as to what a very “bright leader Fidel Castro is”(see video here) and Harry Reid’s disappointment that Teddy Kennedy’s death may force him into bipartisanship negotiations.

Vigilance and bipartisanship negotiation are required in the days ahead – not just by our elected officials and government watchdogs but by the People.  We must be engaged to protect against the systematic de-construction of our Freedoms before we wake up and do not recognize the country that we live in.

Shut up.  We may have lost an election but we have not lost our minds, our values, our pride, our work ethic, our love of country or our voices.

Shut up.  We are not an angry mob, un-American, crazies, astroturf, militant extremists, f%$ktards, racists, wingnuts, evil-mongererererers, domestic terrorists, white hoods, Nazis, brown shirts, deathers or any of the other labels that our own elected officials and fellow Americans have seen fit with which to denigrate our desire to make our voices heard in our country regarding monumental bills that will affect the rest of our lives.

Shut up.  Hate Speech is Hate Speech even when directed against people that you disagree with and agreeing to disagree is the very fabric of the United States and the spirit of our Founding Fathers.  Dissent IS American.  We are fighting to be heard because it is our Right to express ourselves just like those that disagree with us have the Right to express their opinions.  Shouting IS American.  Ask Europe all about loud Americans.

Shut up.  We have no lobbyist money or taxpayer money funding our outrage.  We have no buses or pre-printed signs or t-shirts or fancy flyers.  We do not have 18 million dollars to spend on websites or organizations with millions in the account.  We do not have databases with hundreds of thousands of names or employment rosters to call upon or union memberships.  We do not have paid community organizers or people who have been “trained” to organize or rule books.   We have lots of volunteers and late nights and sheer force of will.  We have commitment and intelligence and passion.  And lots of poster boards and markers.  And we have pretty good senses of humor.  (Although, as Lady Libertas has stated before, if someone would like to pay me to do this, please call…please…like now is good!)

Shut up.  We have watched the Democratic Congress that came to power in November 2006 serve up the same things that I found offensive and upsetting that have been attributed to Bush.  Lest we forget, Presidents only sign the bills – Congress is really where it happens and by June of 2007, this Congress had reached an all time low confidence rating.  Interestingly, Obama said that he did not want to talk to the people who had made the mess, but since he was part of that Congress (briefly albeit) and since many of those members are sitting on the Hill with him, I can only wonder who he thinks made the mess?

Shut up.  Keep your lies to yourself.  How dare you stand in front of me and speak untruth and expect me to comply or believe anything else that comes out of your mouth.

Shut up.  Medicare is broken.  Medicare is a single payer system and most Medicare recipients have to pay out of pocket for additional Medicare supplemental insurance.  Medicare has 60 billion dollars per year in fraud.  Medicare has run out of money.  Medicare has lowered their reimbursement rates and passed the burden onto providers who have in turn had to pass it along to private insurance holders.  Putting an entire country on a system that cannot support what it has now is a disaster.  Keep your Medicare for All and let’s fix Medicare for Now.

Shut up.  No more evil doctors that steal tonsils and perform amputations for $30,000.  Just Shut up.

Shut up.  There is nothing that can be said to reassure us that any healthcare plan brought to the board will be deficit neutral.  The CBO agrees with us.  Without analyzing the legislative language (how dizzying is that concept?!), the CBO predicts that HR3200 will add hundreds of billions to the deficit within a 10 year period.  The CBO Director was also told to shut up, but thankfully he did not.

Shut up.  Noone is going to Cuba to take advantage of their fabulous healthcare system.  Noone is making a run for the border to partake of Canada’s physician described “imploding” system.  The United States has some of the best healthcare outcomes in the world.  The World Health Organization life expectancy report is a ridiculous argument – it does not compare apples to apples.  Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic which are two of the top healthcare providers in the world have spoken against the proposed healthcare reform.  I choose to side with healthcare professionals rather than career politicians who are more interested in power brokering than listening to the people that they represent.

Shut up.  The AMA (American Medical Association) represents less than 29% of all physicians in the United States.  Their membership is split and many were shocked that the AMA came out in support of HR3200.  On 8/15/09, the AMA stated the following: “The AMA continues to oppose nationalized health insurance, and we continue to express opposition to elements of public plan proposals that we believe could lead us down the road to a single-payer system or ‘socialized medicine.’”  It appears that this is not the ringing endorsement that Obama has led everyone to believe.

Shut up.  AARP supports HR3200.  AARP does not support HR3200.  Obama says that AARP does support HR3200.  AARP says that they do not (today).  Since July 1, AARP has lost 60,000 members.  AARP should have shut up while they were ahead.

Shut up.  The main stream media may as well use the same teleprompter as the White House.  We are treated to more non-reporting and the liberal agenda promotion has become not just expected but blatant.  Youtube may just be the new network of the people along with Fox.  And those who do not believe that there is a strong Conservative base in the USA should perhaps refer to Fox’s ratings and market share versus other cable news outlets.

Shut up.  with your government mandated lightbulbs.  with your inconvenient truth.  with your Green agenda.  with your electricity taxes couched in an environmental language.  with your smart cars.  with your Soros companies and stocks that will blossom if Cap&Trade is passed on the backs of the American People.  Green is the new Red and you can keep it.

Shut up.  Capitalism, free market, profit and competition are not evil.  Socialism is evil.  Bailouts are evil.  Nationalization of any private industry is evil.

Shut up.  Afghanistan is your war, Obama.  Your vehement protests pre-presidency are falling a bit flat as you not only continue Bush’s Iraq policy but fully engage us in Afghanistan.  Where is Code Pink now?

Shut up.  You cannot have our guns or our bibles.  You cannot have our tacit approval to make decisions that violate the very core of what we believe.  You cannot have our minds or the minds of our children.  You cannot have the lives of our Senior Citizens or the chronically ill.  

Shut up.  You cannot have the blood, sweat and tears of America without being accountable.

http://ladylibertas.wordpress.com/Revolution is in the blood of Americans.  We have stood as a beacon of freedom for the entire world for over 200 years.  We have wielded our Big Stick all over the globe in defense of Liberty and the underdogs.  Our melting pot includes refugees of tyranny from countries everywhere.  So, it should come as no surprise that Obama the Anti-Unifier has easily thrown matchsticks onto the conflagration of American passion.

Obama has called on the Unions to come out and confront us - we are labeled as radical right wing extremists and the language of the notices to the Left is purposely inflammatory - confront, fight against - indeed - our own White House is condoning violence by saying that "if you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard."  The White House has set up a Snitch line for Americans to report other Americans - are stars next?

Where has our First Amendment gone while we were going about our daily lives?  When did dissent become radical and militant and unpatriotic?  How has disagreement with government takeover of healthcare turned into a bitter and now violent dispute that has neighbors screaming racial epithets at each other in front of town hall meetings everywhere?  When did it escalate to a man who was selling flags being knocked to the ground & kicked repeatedly by SEIU Goons?

Well, Lady Libertas has a theory.  You see, fellow Patriots, this is not about government takeover of healthcare.

THIS IS ABOUT GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER OF EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIVES.

How interesting the the Right is called Nazis and Brown Shirts when the reality is the Nazi Party held in contempt all things that our country stands for - Democracy, Capitalism, and Liberalism (in the defined sense of the word) - they also were virulently anti-Communism.

The Left is using Alinksy's Rules for Radicals and if they can attack us by embarrassment, they will do so.  Call someone a racist and they will be so horrified that they will leave off their debate and attempt to defend themselves - call someone a Nazi and they will do the same.  So, Lady Libertas says - GROW A THICKER SKIN.  Who cares if the Lunatic Left calls you names?  Keep moving and framing the debate the way YOU WANT versus constant defense of ridiculous labels that are only meant to distract you.

Obama and other Socialist/Marxist/Communist wannabe's have been planting seeds in the fertile ground of American soil for years - look at our college campuses - it is hip to be a disenfranchised Marxist.  Obama even admits that this is where he found others of like mind.  This attack on the foundation of our American beliefs has been pervasive and insidious.  If this had been a goose stepping SS coming to force these beliefs on us, the American people would have united against that invasion.  Instead, the Left has erected Obamanation.  Disagree and since he is black, you are a racist.  Have another opinion and you are not American.  Speak out and you are a radical extremist.  These are THEIR LABELS.  Dismiss them - embrace it - Remind them that this "Angry Mob" has faces of hardworking Americans who will fight for our Constitutional Rights.

We need a new game plan.  Most of us had no idea that the Left or the White House would come crashing down on the First Amendment and attempt to shut down our rights of Free Speech and indeed, assembly.  The mainstream media is pointedly biased - in St. Louis, a man selling flags was thrown to the ground and beaten.  Media reports came out as 6 people were arrested.  What they did not say is that the 6 people arrested were SEIU goons who were wearing SEIU tshirts and being video taped as they kicked the man on the ground.  The video is being shown on the internet and FOX but not in other outlets.

The troll attacks on social media sites like Twitter have stepped up - Last night, I received a tweet saying that the only good Republican was a dead Republican.  I answered that they should then call out the Gravedigger Union. The Lunatic Left is empowered by the tacit support of the White House in their escalation of force.  We must be prepared.

So, Lady Libertas has some suggestions and thoughts.  We shall call these the Rules for Revolutionaries.

RULES FOR REVOLUTIONARIES

1.  Define and Deny the Principle. - The Principle is Socialism and the definitions are these:

• a political theory advocating state ownership of industry
• an economic system based on state ownership of capital
• As well, Socialism advocates through state ownership of industry and capital, redistribution of wealth for the common good (the common good as the government sees it) - Those that choose not to work are classified equally to those who do all the work.  Success becomes evil and profit is subversive unless that profit is going to support the State.  Freedom is moot because the State owns you and the work that you do.  Through exorbitant taxes, the American Dream becomes a myth.
• "It is proper to take alarm at the first experiment upon our liberties. We hold this prudent jealousy to be the first duty of citizens and one of the noblest characteristics of the late Revolution. The freemen of America did not wait till usurped power had strengthened itself by exercise and entangled the question in precedents. They saw all the consequences in the principle, and they avoided the consequences by denying the principle. We revere this lesson too much to forget it." James Madison

2.  Keep your debate short & to the point & factual

• In getting our message out, we must be able to bullet point the message and also undermine the opposition
• In your group, divide up the topics and become an expert in that topic - spread the load - noone can know it all
• It is also important to frame your message in a way that will reach out to those who have not made a decision
• Example - the Left has been touting a Medicare for All campaign.  Answer:  Medicare has $60 billion in fraud per year.  Obama said Medicare will go broke in 10 years.  Medicare cuts are actually how they will pay for healthcare for all.  These are the government statistics - so how can a system that is not working, sustain a nation on that same program?
• 91% of men survive prostate Cancer in the USA - 51% survive in UK and 57% survive in Europe - 82% in Canada
• For Breast Cancer survival rates: the USA has a 90% survival rate and UK has 79% survival rate - Canada when compared to US and UK at same progression of the disease is at 87% but then they drop off sharply in the follow up stages, experiencing a mortality rate 25% higher than the US.

3.  Find the weakest point of the Opposition and stay on Message - force them to defend their ideas

• Why is Congress exempting themselves from this plan?
• Why have members of Congress not read the Bill?
• Why has Bipartisanship participation been refused?
• How will the government pay for this plan?
• If 83% of Americans are happy with their insurance plans, why not just insure the uninsured?
• The USA has the best quality of healthcare in the world - all nationalized plans have issues of lower successful outcomes and rationing of care
• How is Congress qualified to make decisions about healthcare?  Why aren't doctors and nurses and other healthcare professionals included in this decision making?

4.  Choose a Leader for each event & debate what you know

• Someone has to be in charge and the rest of the group will take their cues from that person - this MUST be done in advance so that everyone is in step - We are facing groups that Organize for a living.
• Choose a person in your group that is knowledgeable about the topic - if someone is a healthcare professional, let them take the lead on speaking - this also gives credibility to what you are saying
• Do NOT discuss the birth certificate issue at the healthcare town halls - this is a huge distraction from the immediate topics of healthcare and Cap&Trade

5.  Do not underestimate the Opposition

• The Left have written the books on Community Organization - most people are not even aware that they have been manipulated - read their information so that you are prepared for their tactics
• By calling in the Unions, the Left has shown that they are willing to escalate confrontations - DO NOT LET YOUR EMOTIONS RULE YOUR REACTION - that is precisely what they are looking for
• There should be several people taking video of the event so that our side is recorded and then that video needs to be forwarded to ALL MEDIA OUTLETS and posted on the internet

6.  Laughter is a great weapon

• "the most potent weapons known to mankind are satire and ridicule"
• the idea of Union Thugs conjures up all kinds of cartoon like images in my brain - perhaps I am too young or grew up in the wrong area of the country to remember that I should be afraid of the Union goons

7.  Do not rise to the bait of distraction - Stay focused

• You have a message and a mission to get it out there - do not be distracted by meaningless argument
• Meaningless arguments include defense of racism, hatred of poor people and even personal slurs
• GROW A THICK SKIN AND BLANK THEM - do you really care what they think of you?  or even better - know it for the tactic that it is!

8.  Find non-violent ways to counteract their tactics

• Conservatives are being slaughtered in the public opinion - the Leftist media has been delightedly showing the clips that portray Conservative Americans as shrieking nutters and have labeled us as RADICAL and EXTREMIST
• Wear normal street clothes and leave the paraphernalia in the car - we have to be admitted into the town halls to get our views equal air time - if they see you coming, we will not get in
• Wheelchair brigades - One of the ladies down here (thanks Miss M!) came up with the idea of wheelchair brigades - that gets two people into the meeting and chances are not even Union goons will start toppling people in wheelchairs ir with walkers or crutches - THIS WILL DISARM THEM
• Turn in Silence - If you disagree with what is being said by the officials running the meeting, Stand and turn the other way - this would make a great statement if you have a large group that does it all at the same time:  This idea is from our Twitter Troll Patrol, rdickerhoof:  "A well known conservative activist, Martin Luther King Jr used civil disobedience. Speak your mind at town halls and rallies but, when leftist thugs attack, turn in silence."

9.  Network and Organize and Be Active

• Again, we are coming up against Organizers that do this for a living and have huge bankrolls behind them - join the Tea Party Groups, the 912 Groups, Freedomworks, and get out there on the social networks - meet people in your area and GET ACTIVE!
• Ignore the astroturf accusations - why shouldn't we take advantage of Conservative groups that have money behind them?  Just make sure that you research the group and know what they stand for and who is behind it - Moral Debate OVER.
• Talk to friends and families and co-workers - invite them to rallies or tea parties
• Donate Time or Money - in these economic times, many cannot donate money but time and effort is worth its weight in gold as well

10.  Keep up the pressure

• It is nothing less than our way of life and foundational beliefs that are under attack.  Just because the enemy is not Russian speaking Communists does not mean that they are not as determined to undermine our Constitution and our Country.
• The next few months are vital.  Give as much as you can in time and attendance at meetings, rallies, & tea parties
• Call your elected officials DAILY - Email, Letters and Phone calls to your Elected Officials are so important - stay on them - call the ones for your district and then start calling the Reps that are on the fence - our opposition uses PHONE BANKS - we need to create our own.

11.  Make the Opposition live up to it's own book of rules - straight from Alinsky

• A perfect example of this is pointing out that Congress has exempted themselves from this healthcare plan - WHY?
• Why will Obama's children receive different healthcare than taxpayer's children?
• The St. Louis attack by SEIU Goons was against a black man?  is that Racism too?
• Bush was absolutely villified by leftist groups and anti-war groups - why are we radical and extreme?
• Bush's Iraq War versus Obama's Afghanistan War
• Patriot Act versus the Snitch on your Fishy Neighbor
• Bias of the mainstream media - why no videos of Kenneth Gladney in St. Louis showing SEIU Thugs in their tshirts kicking him on the ground?

12.  Take comfort and inspiration from the Revolutionaries before us
